Our Mission
Dingmans Ferry Theatre is dedicated to promote, organize and provide funds for theatre, music, art and other cultural activities in and around Pike County, based in Akenac Park in Delaware Township.
Dingmans Ferry Theatre will give the opportunity to young and old performers to showcase their skills while entertaining the community at minimal or no cost to the audience.
We just want to give them a place where they can smile, laugh, cry and leave their worries at home for the evening
How We Started
Dingmans Ferry Theatre is the brainchild of it’s Artistic Director, Dennis Lee and his wife, Barbara Lee. It is housed in a converted cabin from the former Camp Akenac, a corporate camp previously owned by Hewlett-Packard before it was acquired by Delaware Township in 2005.
This space has been converted by our volunteers to an intimate theater, perfect for a wide range of performances. Since opening it’s doors in Spring 2021 (after a delayed opening due to Covid-19), Dingmans Ferry Theatre has hosted several indoor performances, as well as a highly successful outdoor concerts.
