Arsenic & Old Lace

Arsenic and Old Lace is a comedic play about Mortimer Brewster, a drama critic who discovers his sweet, elderly aunts, Abby and Martha, are poisoning lonely old men with elderberry wine laced with arsenic.  Adding to the chaos, his homicidal brother Jonathan returns with a plastic surgeon, Dr. Einstein, having had his face surgically altered to resemble Boris Karloff. The play revolves around Mortimer’s attempts to manage the madness, protect his aunts, and prevent his fiancée, Elaine, from discovering the family’s dark secrets.
