Dennis Lee
"Elwood P. Dowd"
Dennis Lee is the founder and Artistic Director of the Dingmans Ferry Theatre. A former New York City casting director and actor, Dennis returned to his theatrical roots and has spent the past five years helping build the theatre alongside a dedicated group of friends and supporters. He has also directed and produced several documentaries celebrating the local community, including ‘Welcome to Dingmans Ferry’, ‘Dingmans Ferry Americana’, and ‘Shohola Along the River’. Dennis is thrilled to portray Elwood P. Dowd in ‘Harvey’ and grateful to director Deborah Albrecht and the entire cast. Fifty years ago, Dennis first walked onto the stage as Elwood. Tonight, after a lifetime, he walks onto the stage to meet his old friend once again.
Sally Hendee
"Vita Louise Simmons"
Sally Hendee started her adventures in Community theater after her retirement. In 2014 she joined Hemlock Players in ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ as Abbey Brewster and was hooked! Seventeen productions later with that troop and Several with Shawnee Playhouse since 2017, and The Presby Players in Port Jervis is also included in her resume. In 2024 she played Arvide in “Guys and Dolls” at Milford Theater. 2025 joined Chell-tone Productions for ‘Eat Drink and Be Murdered’ of one performance , and ‘Shear Madness—Murder in the Hair‘ for 12 performances. In December 2025, Dingmans Theatre, she was in the cast of ‘Christmas Belles‘, as Honey Raye Futrell. Now in 2026 Sally is happy to be included in the cast at Dingmans Theatre as Vita Simmons in ‘Harvey’.
Danna Lyons
"Myrtle Mae Simmons"
Danna has been performing in plays since the age of ten. She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC with a degree in Theatre. She performed for over eight years in many NYC Off Broadway productions – mainly with The 29th Street Repertory Theatre. Shows included ‘Killer Joe’, ‘Coyote Ugly’ and many others. She performed in community dinner theatre productions when she lived in both Grand Island, NE and Maplewood, NJ, in ‘Bus Stop’ and ‘Psychopathia Sexualis’ among others. Since moving to Milford, PA in 2020 she has performed in dinner theatre productions at Tanglewood Resort and Sliver Birches in Hawley, PA. She has appeared in several Dingmans Ferry Theatre productions including It’s a Wonderful Life’ and ‘The Fantastiks’. She wrote, directed and performed in her own musical production ‘Cosmic Eruptions of Beauty’ at the Dingmans Ferry Theatre. She plays banjo in a duo with her partner Wharton Tiers as ‘The Lucky Ones, aka’. She and Wharton host an annual open mic here at the Dingmans Theatre for ‘Earth Day’ as ‘The Dandelion Fairy‘ and ‘The Tree Hugging Wizard’. When not performing she is a pediatric Occupational Therapist. She is ever grateful to Dennis Lee for always being a supporter of creativity and bringing joy, through entertainment, to all who participate. Also thanks to her fellow cast members and crew for the positive collective energy vibes! And most importantly, Thank you Universe!
Greg Lawless
"Dr. William B. Chumley"
Making his debut with Dingmans Ferry Theatre, Greg is thrilled to take on the role of Dr. William Chumley in Harvey. Greg previously appeared with the Hemlock Players in roles including Nat in ‘Take Me Along‘, Mr. Martini in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life‘, Moose Moran in ‘The Lemon Drop Kid’, Carl Bolton in ‘Morning’s at Seven‘, an alarming number of characters in short scenes, and—most notably—the gourmet, gourmand, bon vivant, and all-around theatrical mouthful Monsieur August Maximilian Blotti in ‘Beauty and the Beast’. After spending considerable time playing characters who appear, cause trouble, and disappear in a matter of Greg is particularly happy to have the opportunity to spend an entire evening as a psychiatrist—and, of course, to meet a six-foot-tall invisible rabbit who may or may not be the most reasonable person in the room. When not onstage, Greg enjoys hiking, trivia nights at a local craft brewery (results may vary), computer games, and volunteer work. He thanks his wife, Vicki, for her patience and support, and is excited to make his first appearance with Dingmans Ferry Theatre.
Layla McCormick
"Miss Ruth Kelly"
Layla McCormick is an 18-year-old performer who’s been involved in the theatre for four years. Her love for the stage started at the age of eight when she began singing in a children’s choir which helped lead her to start taking vocal lessons, and to start acting in school productions. Layla’s made appearances in many shows at the Dingmans Ferry Theatre, including ‘The Fantastics’, ‘Our Town’, and now, ‘Harvey’.
Anthony R. Ur
"Wilson"
Anthony R. Ur has spent much of his theatrical life wielding swords, playing pirates, talking to aliens, and inhabiting characters considerably more eccentric than your average citizen. Favorite roles include Dr. Herman Einstein in ‘Arsenic & Old Lace‘, Dub Dubberly in ‘Christmas Belles‘, a Bugbear in ‘She Kills Monsters‘, and ‘The Twilight Zone’s‘ James A. Corry and Avery. His years in Renaissance and immersive theater have also seen him portray Merlin, Captain Jack Sparrow, Sir Eric, Pirate Kas, and the interstellar rogue Kas Slaanesh. With experience in stage combat, radio theater, and voice acting, Anthony is happiest bringing a little heart, humor, and mayhem to the stage. Offstage, he still brings imaginary worlds to life. In 2015, Anthony founded Next Gen Imaging, LLC, combining digital design, 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC fabrication, and a lifelong love of fantasy, sci-fi, gaming, and fandom to create one-of-a-kind pieces designed to rekindle a little childhood wonder.
Allison Taylor
"Betty Chumley"
Allison Taylor spent 3 decades on Wall Street. But in between that stress, some of the roles she has played include Lady Bracknell in ‘The Importance of Being Earnest‘; Mrs. Bailey in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life‘; and Mrs. Shellhammer in ‘Miracle on 34 th Street‘. She also participated in a reading of ‘Marrying George Clooney‘, a play by our local artist, Amy Ferris, which was directed by Marta Kaufman.
Jay Morrow
"Judge Omar Gaffney"
Jay worked at AIG in Manhattan until his retirement in 2017. He and his wife Cathe have been in Hemlock Farms for over 30 years and full-time residents since 2015. He has been in many productions of the Hemlock Players over the past 10 years. He recently made his debut with Dingmans Ferry Theatre in the production of ‘Love Letters’ and is thrilled to be back on stage with them for ‘Harvey’.
Derrick Harris
"E.J. Lofgren"
Derrick Harris is a senior at Delaware Valley High School, and is proud and happy to be cast in The Dingmans Ferry Theaters production of ‘Harvey’. His recent credits at Delaware Valley High School included ‘12 Angry Men’, where he played The Foreman and in ‘Twelfth Night the Musical’ playing a variety of roles in the ensemble. Derrick studied under Daniel Lynn Evan’s Stage Craft Preforming Arts Camp. He was also in Dingmans Ferry Theatre’s production of ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ as “Officer Kline”, and he hopes to do more there. He also enjoys being a part of The Delaware Valley High School’s Tenor Base Choir. He’d like to give thanks to both of his parents for supporting him in his many theatrical endeavors and for also going to see all his shows.
Lisa Ferrera
"Mrs. Ethel Chauvenet"
Lisa ‘Mrs. Ethel Chauvanet’ has been performing since the day she commandeered her parents’ 8mm camera microphone to belt out Sesame Street tunes—and hasn’t stopped since. Over the years, she’s brought a colorful array of characters to life onstage, including Mady ‘God’s Favorite‘, Jan ‘Grease‘, Salome ‘The Robber Bridegroom‘, Robin ‘Godspell‘, Jack’s Mom ‘Day After Day‘, and Magdelone ‘Warmth‘. Most recently, she’s had the pleasure of playing the sweetly murderous Abby Brewster in ‘Arsenic & Old Lace‘ and the delightfully unfiltered Twink Futrelle in ‘Christmas Belles‘.
When she’s not acting, Lisa is writing and performing her own music, including appearances with The Steel Stilettos, or raising literary mischief. Her first novel, ‘ChristBot’, was released in October 2025. Whether behind a microphone, at a piano, onstage, or on the page, she remains firmly committed to making art, making trouble, and refusing to grow up entirely.
Bartholomew Mahon
"Dr. Lyman Sanderson"
Bartholomew Mahon first found his way onto a stage in the early 2000s as Anthony Marston in ‘Ten Little Indians’ at Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, after a director spotted him doing community service following an act of poor judgment. Apparently, rehabilitation can be theatrical. After a decade away, he returned with the Lakeside Players, and has since appeared in more than a dozen productions throughout the Poconos, including original works from TonyLou and Chelle-Tone Productions. Favorite turns include Mickey in ‘Greetings’, Dave in ‘The Outsider’, and three different roles in ‘Sylvia’. As Bo in ‘Bus Stop’, a dropped line once earned the audience a very in-character “Sorry ’bout that” and a wink before he carried on. He recently appeared at Dingmans Ferry Theatre as Frankie in ‘Breaking Legs’ and is happy to return as Dr. Sanderson in ‘Harvey’. He remains grateful that people keep handing him scripts, and especially grateful to his three favorite fans—his kids.
